Adelaide Fringe, March 2012
JACK IN was a site specific audiovisual projection installation onto the facade of the Adelaide College of the Arts during Fringe 2012.
The project involved installation of custom printed screen surface, a projection booth and creating projection loops that reflected the site. It also provided training for AC Arts and Uni SA students to work as trainee crew to support public plug and play, and offering public workshops in techniques related to projection art as public art.
Over a dozen AC Arts students were involved in the project as trainees/interns and many continue to be involved with the illuminart projects in Adelaide.
The installation was created in a partnership between Adelaide College of the Arts, and the Illuminart multimedia artists. The project was supported by the Helpmann Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts and Visual Com.
