The Quirindi Silo Art Committee is proud to announce the inclusion of The Journey of Health and Wellbeing animation in the Quirindi Light and Sound Show. Designed, illustrated and animated by Peter Ryan Art, the work helps to promote understanding of Aboriginal people’s experience from colonisation to the present day.
Illuminart are thrilled that the animation is scheduled into the show from Monday 22 May 2023 to Sunday 4 June 2023, to acknowledge National Sorry Day on Friday 26 May 2023.
Launched in conjunction with National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, the 10-minute animation shows how events of the past play out in the present, offering a framework of hope and equality, encouraging us all to reflect and confront shared histories, and to highlight goals of positive change and growth.
The Journey of Health and Wellbeing was produced by the Aboriginal Health Policy Directorate at the Department of Health Western Australia, in discussion with consultants, Mr Tim Muirhead and Mr Danny Ford.
The animation schedule for Monday 22 May to Sunday 4 June will be:
6.30 pm: 30 Minute Countdown Clock
7.00 pm: Quirindi Light and Sound Show
7.25 pm: The Journey of Health and Wellbeing Animation
7.35 pm: Repeat of Quirindi Light and Sound Show
