The end of 2021 sees illuminart sharing what we do best and helping our fellow Australians to celebrate. We are really thrilled to have played a huge part in three installations in South Australia, and encourage those in the regions to visit them and enjoy these free attractions.
The three projects are:
Flocking Together: see the luminous, colourful installation lighting up the very heart of Lobethal with projection on to the Mill Square walls, of extraordinary animated birds, and profound spoken word. This project has been over a year in the making, and not only does “flocking together’ provide a safe outdoor viewing opportunity to share with family, it also celebrates the regeneration of bushland after the 2020 bushfires, and the return of the birds. It is a very special artwork about hope and nature, created with the help of the local schools and local artists.

11-23 December, Sunset until 10:30 pm at Mill Square in Lobethal
Shine: St Peters Church in Loxton is a beautiful heritage sandstone building standing proudly on a hill, and during Shine it is illuminated with a magnificent animation created through a collaboration between illuminart, Little Town Productions, and local artists. In the true spirit of Christmas the animation features traditional images of the nativity, which are playfully interwoven with delightful scenes representing modern Christmas in the riverland. Luscious painted scenes, stained glass, and original music make this an unforgettable treat.
