Narrabright 2025 – Dream Narrabright

For the third year in a row, illuminart stories in light transformed the heart of Narrabri into a breathtaking canvas of projection art, imagination, and shared experience. The 2025 theme, Dream Narrabright, explored the many interpretations of dreams — from the surreal landscapes of the subconscious to the boundless aspirations of human creativity.

At the heart of this immersive experience was a recurring character, the Dream Astronaut. This hero floated through the dreamscapes, connecting the different sites along Maitland Street, and invited audiences to explore their own imagination.

“Narrabright was more than just a festival — it was a shared celebration that brought the community together,” said Cindi Drennan, illuminart’s Artistic Director. “It created a space where people could see each other, connect, and appreciate their town in a new way. Even though it was just one night, it became a moment that strengthened local identity and inspired people to dream.”

This event was a collaboration between illuminart, Narrabri Shire Council, and the local community, ensuring that the art, themes, and stories reflected the heart and soul of Narrabri.

The projections began at sunset.

Narrabright 2025 also featured LED robots, an LED peacock, gold mirror people, a variety of live music, a drumline performance — and a secret surprise!
