Fever Dream

Fever Dream was a one-night celebration of creativity, insight and sound, held at the Heaps Normal Warehouse in Marrickville on 23 January 2025. Curated by Hopeful Monsters and powered by Adobe, the event brought together artists, designers, musicians and storytellers for an immersive evening that blurred the boundaries between performance, installation and conversation.

The program featured thought-provoking talks by Alexander Wu-Kim, Bella Loke, Haein Kim and Paul Rhodes, alongside live performances from Stroke of Luck Radio, Josef & tee8, INQ., Boosie (DJ set) and GLO. With food by Feedwell and drinks by Heaps Normal, the atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming and festival-like.

Illuminart created a large-scale projection mapping experience, transforming the warehouse wall into a living canvas of media contributed by the featured artists. The projections pulsed in harmony with the music and talks, layering imagery and dreamlike textures to evoke themes of emergence and eruption — an exploration of creativity at boiling point. Seamlessly integrated into the rhythm of the night, the visuals amplified the collective imagination and community-powered momentum of the gathering.

The result was an evocative fusion of sound, story and light: an evening that captured the restless energy of contemporary creativity and invited audiences to step inside a shared fever dream.

From start to finish, the team were professional, friendly, and accommodating - going above and beyond to ensure that all visual aspects of the event ran smoothly.
