Barmera Permanent Projection at the Bonney Theatre - illuminart stories in light

Barmera Permanent Projection at the Bonney Theatre

On selected nights you will discover community-led digital artworks illuminating the southern wall of Bonney Theatre (Pascoe Terrace) in Barmera.

These permanent projectors were installed in 2019, with the support of Federal funding and the hosting of Barmera Central.

Where to watch

The best viewing area is from the Barmera Visitor Centre on Pascoe Terrace, Barmera, this allows you to listen to any audio component of the prepared works.

There is some limited seating in the viewing area but while you’re enjoying our free projections please remember to keep up your social distancing and follow all state and federal regulations for your own health and safety. The site is on the edge of a road intersection so take care with traffic and keep your children safe away from the road edge.

How to get involved in future works

The Barmera projectors were installed with the intention of developing a collaborative community asset supporting a range of community activities from grassroots projects to significant artistic collaborations.

Council looks forward to collaborating with our community for future projects. If you are interested in further information about the Barmera Projection site please call our Community Development Team on 8582 1922.
