Call for Expressions of Interest from artists from the Port Adelaide region to participate in a promotional / exhibition opportunity in Port Adelaide during SALA Festival 2013 as part of the Luminous Trail and New Light Industrial – Illuminart’s community project for 2013.
illuminart will be coordinating a project bringing together lighting art with virtual studio glimpses, in a luminous art trail linking interesting but often unnoticed spaces of Port Adelaide during SALA.
Vacant spaces and empty windows will feature projected imagery to showcase Port Adelaide regional artists, as views into their artwork and practice. The trail will run for 4 weeks and participation in the project is free.
This opportunity is for artists in the Port Adelaide area working in any visual artform – it does not have to be a digital medium in itself (for example we are able to support artists working with paint or other visual forms through photography of your work, or video of your practice). Artists working in non visual artforms are welcome to apply as well, and we will talk to you about what might be possble.
Port Adelaide regional artists are invited to apply by filling out the attached Expressions of Interest (EOI) and returning to the email address in the form, or delivering to Sue McKenzie or Jane Marr at Port Adelaide Enfield Council.
It’s worth mentioning that we have a separate EOI for LUMINOUS ART and for SALA MOVING IMAGE in Port Adelaide.
EOI are due by 12 May 2013 to ensure that your name will be included in the SALA Festival program. EOIs after that date will only be included in the trail program. EOIs can be accepted until the end of May.
Once the EOI has been received and the entry confirmed, each participant will be sent instructions on the preparation and submission of the digital photos, media and text required for their entry, to be submitted by the end of June.
To be part of the project fill out the EOI form and return to the project email address:
