REMIX / REINTERPRET / CHALLENGE / CHANGE – a Provocation Opportunity for Artists of All Disciplines – From Bathurst or with Connections to Bathurst
Illuminart Stories in Light, in partnership with KFM Media and Beatlesfest, with support of Arts OutWest are inviting expressions of interest (EOIs) from artists of all art forms to participate in an exciting new professional collaboration.
This curated event will take place at the Victoria Hotel in Bathurst and will be submitted for a Festivals Australia grant.
We are seeking artists to creatively remix, reinterpret, and reimagine – progressively challenging and expanding the concepts of the Beatles in innovative and thought-provoking ways.
This is definitely not about cover bands, cover art, or cover music—our goal is to extend the understanding of Art by challenging known genres, and engaging audiences in deeper reflection through artistic expression.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome artists and creatives from diverse disciplines, including but not limited to:
Your work must connect thematically to the Beatles in an innovative way, progressing or deconstructing their ideas or themes or using it as a provocation – it does not need to be recognisable as Beatles but we will want to understand how you arrive at your end point.
