December 8 2022 - January 29 2023
Overflow was an after dark satellite activation running alongside the Blue Mountains Culture Exhibition ‘Water: Presence and Absence’.
Three First Nations artists were invited to respond to the theme of ‘water’ and project a moving image artwork of several minutes duration onto the windows of the Blue Mountains Theatre, Springwood. Featuring projected and animated artworks by Shay Tobin, Maddison Gibbs and Leanne Mulgo Watson, these First Nations stories about water came to life in light every evening until January 29, 2023. llluminart are delighted to have assisted these visual artists in developing and presenting artwork as creative projection for the duration of the exhibition period and managed the technical aspects of its installation.
The launch of the after dark illuminations was on the 8th December 2022 at the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub for www.watertrail.au/
Registration for the launch of overflow and the MTNS MADE Broadsheet was via their Eventbrite listing:
