BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

100% Remote Position (based anywhere in Australia)
Options for HYBRID if you happen to be based in Sydney or the Blue Mountains or Adelaide
Full time / Flexible workplace
$150,000 per year including Base Salary, Base Commissions, Super.  Options for higher after accelerators, bonuses.

About You:

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who shares our ambition to create and deliver high-budget, high-impact projects that set us apart in the industry. You’ll thrive on identifying strategic business opportunities, building relationships with clients who require specialist knowledge, and securing large-scale, one-of-a-kind installations. If you are excited by the opportunity to match clients with cutting-edge digital art solutions and help illuminate their vision, this role is for you.

You have a proven ability to drive sales growth in niche markets and will bring the confidence to approach high-value clients and projects, positioning illuminart as the best team for delivering unique, unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to secure high-value clients in the arts tourism and digital storytelling space.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, stakeholders, and funding bodies who recognise the importance of specialist knowledge in creating world-class digital art.
  • Lead proposal development and high-budget pitches, collaborating closely with internal teams to align strategies with illuminart’s artistic vision and technical expertise.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for expansion, particularly in regional Australia, where our projects can have lasting cultural and economic impact.
  • Ensure all projects align with illuminart’s values of community engagementcultural integrity, and creative excellence, while achieving profitable outcomes.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Submitting and winning high-budget project bids, delivering at least 5 substantial bids per week.
  • Engaging with a wide network of potential high-value leads, focusing on clients who require unique, customised installations.
  • Meeting ambitious monthly and quarterly revenue targets, ensuring that each project sold contributes to both the company’s growth and creative success.
  • Representing illuminart at industry events, showcasing our award-winning portfolio and building new opportunities for high-profile projects.
