Stepping into the Light: Architectural Storytelling in Norwood

This Architectural Storytelling Projection show celebrated the heritage of the Norwood Town Hall itself.

Stories were collected through meetings with senior residents of the Norwood area, their memories were recorded and photographs or their memorabilia were animated to create a sense of a living photo album, representing the deep fondness people have for the rituals of gathering to dance, celebrate, commemorate and enjoy arts and culture together.

As the show looped, live improvised interventions by musicians “stepping into the light” cast shadows and added their own quality to the show, to celebrate the decades of live performance in the Hall.

The visuals are beautiful! Congratulations! and thanks for the opportunity to be involved.
