Illuminart were engaged to Project the White Ribbon and “Have a night in to get the word out” logos on the South Australian Police Headquarters building.
The projection was accomplished using a high powered projector from a roof of a neighbouring building, and live projection mapping to place the logos onto the building within a few minutes after sunset.
Our support acknowledges the significance of ‘Have a night in to get the word out’ to raise awareness about Domestic Violence, and to highlight that some families are not safe and live in fear in their own homes.
From the Press release:
“Police Commissioner Grant Stevens will shine the light on a giant White Ribbon, illuminated on the side of Police Headquarters tonight Friday, 28 July at 5.45pm, in a show of support for White Ribbon, the national campaign to end violence against women.
The event coincides with tonight’s White Ribbon Host a night in – a national call to gather friends, family or colleagues together and to show men’s violence against women has to stop.
“South Australia Police is committed to eliminating violence against women and that commitment starts in our own workplace, with our staff,” says Commissioner Stevens.
“Tonight, from our central workplace, we’re shining a light that can be seen across the city on a White Ribbon; the national symbol that represents the campaign to eliminate violence against women.”
