Leading Lights
The Leading Lights are a network of regionally based digital producers who are being trained and mentored by acclaimed arts company illuminart in the specialised practice of digital storytelling and placemaking.
Through the mentorship, the Leading Lights are assisted to produce digital media stories of significance to their community, and to be involved in the creation of public projection events. They are also involved in a large cross regional project that will connect all of their communities.
The artists come from diverse backgrounds and bring to the project their own set of skills which they share with the network, through peer to peer training and collaboration. Their learning with illuminart is tailored to their needs and they have access to the whole illuminart team as a support, expertise and equipment resource when required.
During the program, the Leading Lights are participating in professional projects around Australia with illuminart’s support. They are learning through personalised training and the experience of delivering a extensive range of projects.

WHAT THE LEADING LIGHTS OFFER
The Leading Lights work independently of illuminart, and with our training and support they can help you develop local community based projects involving digital media or projection. They are based across regional South Australia and can aid the effective delivery of digital media projects in regional communities. They are available for on the ground research, story capture and community consultation as well as remote collaboration and projection delivery, all supported with high level expertise of illuminart mentors.
