The Solar Grove sites in Lobethal are lighting displays powered by renewable energy. Local residents who have an interest in supporting energy innovations are hosting these displays, which use low energy consuming light sources in creative ways.
How do they work? Many of these displays are powered by Solar Panels, with the energy then stored on long lasting deep cycle batteries. A clever regulator switches on the power to the LED light displays once it gets dark.
Thank you to Century Yuasa for batteries and to Keith Webster at Battery World Mt Barker for advice and support.
