This public talk looks at Projection Art and how it fits within the Public Art context, from static installation… to other applications in Australia such as precinct based, immersive, live, reactive, hybrid and mobile projection.
The talk will be presented by Cindi Drennan from Illuminart, showcasing examples of projection art as public art by Illuminart and other artists, in particular looking at unusual, emerging and potential techniques rarely seen in Australia.
The presentation will be held at XSpace, Adelaide College of the Arts, Light Square Adelaide from 5:30 – 7:00pm Friday 16th March 2012.
Program:
5:30 – 6PM: Video screening of works including JACK IN, Port Inhabited, Shipshape, Guerilla Tactics and other past works.
6PM – 6:10PM short break.
6:10 – 7PM Video screening of examples of work from overseas, followed by a question and answer session and drinks.
Following this talk there will be opportunity to see shows at AC Arts, and see “Jack in” illuminate.
