The Story Wall at the State Library of South Australia was launched last night by the Hon. Jack Snelling MP Minister for the Arts, on a perfect balmy spring evening.
This fabulous project has been kept hush hush for some time but at last it is up and running, adding an exciting new feature to the Adelaide CBD.
The beautiful inaugural event commenced with a humorous scene of Colonel William Light opening the wall, and then in his famous pose (pointing over the city) launching a barrage of colourful confetti. Thus begins a witty, enlightening and engaging loop of over a dozen stories lasting almost 25 minutes, which repeats many times each night.
The Story Wall commences every night at sunset and runs til midnight, and will be updated to include fresh stories regularly.
