Henty House

I’ve identified the site for LANDED – my main artistic project of the Junction 2010 program. It is the concrete monolith, Henty House, which is directly behind the main marquee / circus tent to be used as the festival club in Civic square. I like it because its close to the hub, but its also TOO close, in a way, I think I will have some issues providing access and view points.

It was one of about six potential sites discussed with the team in Launceston, and for logistical convenience we selected this site. Although not monumental, its very interesting and sculptural in form and I’m looking forward to investigating further.
