In mid August we were excited to have a correspondence with the director of the National Film and Sound Archive about Fractured Heart possibly being exhibited at the NFSA in Canberra. Not wanting to get our hopes up too high we decided to keep this under wraps… imagine our disappointment if it didn’t go ahead.
On Monday the 24th of September a team of five from the NFSA flew up from Canberra to meet the core team of four from illuminart, at Salmagundi where the sculpture pieces were on display. We spent a few hours showing video, photos and diagrams of operation and it seemed all positively go! Although the NFSA team aren’t sure yet just where Fractured Heart might be displayed, they are very keen to have it on exhibition. And to us it does seem the perfect place for it to be, and for people of all ages around Australia to have the opportunity to play Fractured Heart.
