Project Summary

Senior people are aging creatively, expressively and technologically:  In St Mary’s an agile assertive gang of elderly equipped with augmented mobility scooters, meet in semi-secret performance workshops over several months, emerging from their hybrid media performance cocoon to take over St Mary’s Queen Street in an outrageous technologically enhanced public procession that defies all myth and misconception about aging. This extraordinary performance not only draws in public, participating groups, and providers, it is also recorded in a vibrant sensual and engaging 360 degree VR performance for the benefit of virtual participants who experience digital inclusion and participate through immersion therapy.
