Cheer Up Hut ClubCHEER UP HUT CLUB: Regional SA storytelling workshops
Cost: free, you need to be from the community involved.
Presented by: Andy Petrusevics visual artist, digital storyteller and animator supported by John Carberry and Zero.

The Cheer Up Hut Club is a South Australian program to support people in researching their family’s ANZAC stories, collect ANZAC stories from the community and to preserve them in a digital time capsule. All participants will go in the running for a great prize for best entry into the program.

Storytelling Workshops for people with an ANZAC story to tell will be held in regional communities around SA as part of the Cheer Up Hut Club Tour in May, June and September 2016. If you are based in Barossa, Mount Pleasant, Mount Gambier or Port Augusta you’ll be able to attend workshops in the process of developing a story, presenting it and turning it in to a completed project. This is a very important heritage collection and preservation project initiated by Veterans SA and supported by illuminart. While we are in these townships we will be also offering digital media training and conducting research for a statewide project. More news on that soon. For now, if you have a keen interest in making sure that your ANZAC story is told and preserved for future generations, jump on board and sign up to the Cheer Up Hut Club here.
